L’accueil est très sympathique. L’organisation impeccable avec un personnel à l’écoute et efficace. Nous visitons pour la 5e année ce beau pays. Nous avons vu beaucoup de campings. Celui-ci fait partie des meilleurs !

We loved our weekend stay at Dunbar Camping and Caravan site. It’s a beautiful site with lovely views and close to Dunbar and gorgeous beaches. The staff were all really nice and the facilities great – the showers were spotless with plenty of hot water and the toilet block, water and waste facilities all spot-on. Our dog enjoyed the dog walks and our kids enjoyed the playground and green spaces. We’d love to come back.

Exposed location with distant views of Dunbar to the West but not so good views to the East. Grassed pitches generally slope and lighting on the site is poor. The facilities block is adequate and clean. Water points are few and far between and the waste bins are very remote from most pitches.

Easy walking access to two lovely beaches, silver sands has a coffee van, up a safe single road good for cycling. They opened the shop just to let our kids buy marshmallows

We were delighted to arrive here as it looks so stunning with the views of the beach. We left 4 days early as couldn’t take it anymore as a result of this experience from the CCC.
On arrival we were directed to our pitch and left to get set up. After 45 minutes of setting our awning up in gale force winds and solid ground (not a problem we expected that) we were approached by staff who said a colleague had come by a while a go and noticed our awning was over the pitch and we needed to move it. (Why didn’t the *colleague* tell us at the time to save us exerting ourselves?) We said we can’t move it, it has our fridges in for my food allergies and we weren’t told about the pitch rules previously, we booked hard standing for a caravan with awning. So our only options were to pack it away and go home or buy a bigger pitch for more money, which we ended up doing for the sake of the holiday. Since then we have seen and got photos of numerous awnings over the lines. They have these strict rules to follow, yet many others are allowed to leave theirs over the pitch or park where they want. Alot of other people there during our stay have been given the same treatment as us yet others left to do as they wish. This is not how we expected to be treated. The reason it went from 2 stars to one star is because of the absolute nightmare we had to deal with for 2 nights in a row. In their CCC policy it states that there should be no movement of vehicles and quiet between 11pm and 7am and to be considerate to other people on their holidays outside of the quiet times and rules about games. There was a large party of about 15-20 children and around 10 adults in tents all along one lane of the campsite. What happened then was loud music and partying and shouting out until gone 11pm, 2 nights in a row. The noise also was excessive in the early mornings. Children running riot and shouting all over the campsite, playing bat and ball games and football in the road between pitches (there was a huge play area right by them that they spent some time in but preferred to play outside their tents) and not one time over those 48 hours did anybody come and do a single thing about it. When it got dark they all put on bright led headlights and carried on running around and shouting in the road.
This campsite seems purely only interested in making money and not ensuring that everyone has a relaxing stay on their campsite.
All the people we spoke to who were unhappy all said they will never ever go back there.
I always like to give good honest reviews on my holidays as we all rely so much on reviews when going somewhere new.
Please, please, don’t consider going here while the current manager is in charge it’s truly awful.
